What Kind Of Gloves Do Painters Use?
Nitrile gloves offer the most protection in a body shop. Chemical resistant gloves protect your hands from solvents and isocyanates when mixing paints, spraying paint, and cleaning painting equipment. When these chemicals touch your skin, they can irritate or burn the skin or cause an allergic reaction
You can apply the texture mediums with: palette knife - a very useful tool if you want to mix the medium with paint or other mediums on your palette before applying it to canvas. A palette knife is usually my main tool for applying texture mediums
Paint brush – I use Wooster paint brushes, and the one I used for this project was $7.89. Paint color of choice to use over the drywall texture. Because you're using drywall mud, you can get away with chalk paint, acrylic or latex paint
Step 1: Clean & Prep For the smoothest finish possible, clean your railings and balusters with a degreaser and tack cloth or microfiber cloth. Dawn dish soap and warm water works fine, and can also be used to Clean Your Paintbrushes when you're done painting
Do I need to sand the spindles?? NO! ... So sand just the tops of the handrails, just enough to rough them up a bit and scratch the surface, don't worry about sanding underneath and in between each spindle... again too much work
